Salman Khan recently took to social media to share his review about the recently released film Laapataa Ladies, which marks the second directorial of Kiran Rao, former wife of Aamir Khan. The filmmaker reunited with her ex-husband, for the first time post their separation for this unconventional female-centric social drama with a quirky twist. While the film has been receiving rave reviews from several quarters, Khan too had some kind words to say. However, a small ignorant mistake made the actor, prompted him to delete and repost the review.

It seems that the film left our Bollywood superstar Salman Khan super impressed with the actor even expressing his desire to work with filmmaker Kiran Rao. His first tweet read, “Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah (wow) Kiran. I really enjoyed it and so did my father. Congrats on your debut as a director, superb job. Kab kaam karogi mere saath (When will you work with me).” However, social media users were quick to point out that the recently released social drama is not the directorial debut of Rao, who made her fourteen years ago with Dhobi Ghat.

Followed by several netizens sharing their comments regarding this mistake, Khan decided to delete his tweet. He also reposted another review appreciating the film as he said, “”Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah (wow) Kiran. I really enjoyed it and so did my father. Congrats on your debut as a director, superb job. Kab kaam karogi mere saath (When will you work with me).”

Speaking of the film, it stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam and Ravi Kishan in key roles. It revolves around a newly married husband who brings in his traditionally veiled (ghunghat) wife to his village only to realize he has got in the wrong woman. The film, which also received love at film festivals, released in theatres on March 1.
