Suhani Bhatnagar, who gained immense fame for playing Babita Phogat in Dangal, passed away on February 16 in Delhi. The 19-year-old actress’ demise left many shocked and as per reports, her demise was the result of a side-effect of a treatment she was undergoing for a fractured leg. Aamir Khan Production, who introduced Suhani in the industry with the Aamir Khan starrer, penned a heartfelt note along with an emotional condolence message to the family.

Aamir Khan Productions took to social media to confirm the news about the sudden and untimely demise of Suhani Bhatnagar as their note read, “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family ???? Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani. Suhani, you will always remain a star in our hearts <3 May you rest in peace”.

Along with the production house, the director of the film Nitesh Tiwari, who also closely worked with Suhani, too opened up about her demise adding, “Suhani’s passing away is absolutely shocking and heartbreaking. She was such a happy soul, so full of life. My deepest condolences to her family.”
In a report published by Jagran, it said that Suhani Bhatnagar was admitted at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi. The young actress was undergoing treatment for her fractured leg and due to the medication given, fluids started accumulating in her body which eventually led to her demise. However, no official statement has been made regarding the same. Her last rites are expected to be held on Saturday.
Followed by the grand success of Dangal, Suhani Bhatnagar decided to take a break from acting to concentrate on her studies and only featured in a few commercials.
